BD FACSCan

The BD FACScan is a 1-laser 3-color flow cytometry analyzer.
Developed in 1991 by Becton Dickinson, this robust machine is equipped with 1 aircooled 15Mw argon laser (488nm) able to detect up to 3 colors simultaneously (e.g., FITC, PE and PerCP). Its optical efficiency and fluidics stability make this machine a great choice for viability studies, cell cycle analysis and study of a simple combination of 2 colors e.g. GFP and PI.
The instrument is connected to a Power Macintosh G4 computer equipped with the BD CellQuestTM software for instrument interface and data acquisition.
