The PhD Committee is constituted by PhD students from NOVA Medical School - CEDOC, elected annually. The current members are Liliana Alves, Maria João Meneses, Susana Ponte and Nuno Coelho.

The main task of the PhD Committee is to fund and organize the PhD Students' annual retreat. To do so, this committee organizes several activities throughout the year, like the Beer&Food hour after the Casual Friday with Science Seminar, Christmas and Arraial parties. The PhD Committee has also a strong sense of community and social solidarity, being responsible to raise a charity campaign, in collaboration with Freguesia de Arroios.
