MCTES at CEDOC to learn about NOVA pandemic response

On 11 May, NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA) will receive the visit of the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, to showcase the start-ups and the projects of NOVA that have been developing innovative solutions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic response.

The visit is scheduled to take place from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm at the CEDOC-NOVA Medical School.

The nine projects that have been recently approved for the “RESEARCH 4 COVID-19” funding will be presented. Other topics will be featured such as the role of universities in the global response to the pandemic, and the phased return of face-to-face research and teaching activities.
After this session there will be a visit to the CEDOC laboratories adapted for COVID-19 testing.

In the end of this session NOVA Medical School and Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML) will sign a protocol, in the presence of the Minister of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security, Ana Mendes Godinho, in the scope of testing the users of SCML Homes for SARS-CoV-2.
