Pedro Póvoa and João Pedro Cidade
Our clinical researchers, José Pedro Cidade and Pedro Póvoa from the Integrated Pathophysiological Mechanisms, were the main authours of a study awarded at European Congress on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ECTH 2021).
They won Best ECHT Poster at the conference in Ghent (Belgium) last October, in the Clotting Poster for their work intitled: "Predictive value of d-dimers in the clinical outcome of severe COVID19 patients: are we giving them too much credit?". José Pedro Cidade is an intern in Internal Medicine and collaborates with Pedro Póvoa's group in the Multipurpose Intensive Care Unit.
