Patrícia Grácio, member of the Catarina Homem laboratory Proliferation and Fate Regulation of Stem Cells, was awarded with a la Caixa Doctoral INPhINIT Retaining Fellowship, a prestigious and competitive PhD program for the whole Iberian peninsula in which only 35 candidates are selected.
Thanks to this PhD fellowship awarded to Patrícia, she will be able to carry on the project entitled "Temporal Patterning of Neural Stem Cells - Uncovering temporal transcription factors in Drosophila post-embryonic development", in which she will aim to identify post-embryonic temporal transcription factors in Drosophila melanogaster, thus providing insights into temporal patterning in neural stem cells, an essential neurodevelopmental mechanism.
