International Symposium on Ethical Implications of Advanced Stem Cell Research
June 13, 2019
9:00 am-6:00 pm | Lisbon
Aga Khan University & Universidade Nova de Lisboa
The acceleration of research in stem cells and regenerative medicine and the great promise of its potential applications, stands to offer tremendous hope for alleviating human suffering. At the same time, this growth is far outpacing our capacity to address the ethical issues and concerns raised by the ongoing research. There have been ongoing debates and discussions but they offer no simple or uniform answers.
In light of this, the Aga Khan University and the Nova University, Lisbon, are co-hosting a Symposium titled Stem Cell Science, Regenerative Medicine, Ethics and Society that will take place on June 13, 2019 at the Nova University Rectorate, Lisbon, Portugal.
An esteemed panel of experts in the fields of Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine, Theology, Law and Ethics will present, discuss and debate on issues and ongoing and anticipated advances in this field.
