Estamos a aproximar-nos da data da Noite Europeia dos Investigadores, que vai decorrer na próxima semana, dia 24 de setembro, com o tema Ciência para o Clima. Este é um evento de divulgação científica financiado por Ações Marie Curie, com o objetivo de fechar a lacuna entre o público e os investigadores numa noite de celebração de toda a Ciência.
Como tem vindo a ser hábito, o Centro de Estudos de Doenças Crónica (CEDOC) da NOVA Medical School participam neste esforço e devido a restrições pandémicas, a maioria das atividades ainda ocorrerão online.
No entanto, o Serviço de Comunicação da NOVA Medical School e o laboratório de Translational Pharmacology, liderado pela Professora Emília Monteiro, prepararam um novo formato para uma atividade online. Em vez de uma palestra tradicional de investigação, preparamos um questionário público que servirá de base para a atividade de comunicação de ciência por parte dos investigadores. Os resultados do questionário conduzirão o painel de discussão, aproximando o público das descobertas científicas. Aqui iremos abordar o tema do evento, consultando o público a respeito de alguns aspetos das doenças cardiovasculares e da poluição.

We are nearing the date of European Researchers Night, that will happen next week on the 24th of September, with the theme Science For Climate. This is a science outreach event funded by Marie Curie Actions, aiming to close the gap between public and researchers in a night of celebration of all Science.
As usual CEDOC from NOVA Medical School participates in this endeavour and due to pandemic restrictions most of the activities will still occur online.
However, the NOVA Medical School Communication Office and the Translational Pharmacology lab, led by Professor Emília Monteiro, prepared a new format for an online activity, titled "What is the connection between Pollution and Cardiovascular Disease". Instead of a traditional research talk we prepared a public survey that will serve as the basis for the activity of science communication by the researchers. The results of the survey will lead the panel discussion, nearing the public to the scientific discoveries. Here we will try to address the theme of the event by surveying the public regarding some aspects of cardiovascular diseases and pollution.
