Professor Jaime Branco, Director of the NOVA Medical School|Faculdade da Ciências Médicas and principal investigator of the Rheumatological Diseases Lab received the BIAL Award 2016 with the project “EpiReumaPT – the dream of a generation in a decade of work”. This project is a national population-based survey that aimed to characterize the rheumatic diseases. The prize in the value of 200,000 euros will allow the team to continue this line of research.
The award ceremony took place at the Rectory of NOVA University of Lisbon and was attended by the President of the Republic, Professor Doctor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and the Minister of Health, Professor Doctor Adalberto Campos Fernandes
