CEDOC is part of The Discoveries Centre for Regenerative and Precision Medicine

CEDOC is part of an international consortium that has been awarded an EU Horizon 2020 TEAMING grant of 15 million euros for the implementation of The Discoveries Centre for Regenerative and Precision Medicine.

Along with CEDOC, the consortium joined ITQB NOVA, Universidade do Minho, Universidade do Porto, Universidade de Aveiro, Universidade de Lisboa and University College of London, UK. The launch of this Centre was held in London on February 5.
The Discoveries CTR research will be devoted to regenerative and precision medicine. Regenerative Medicine combines new therapeutic strategies in specific clinical contexts, aiming at regenerating tissues or organs lost or compromised. Precision Medicine is a novel way of disease treatment and prevention that takes into account individual variability of genes, environment and other factors, providing customised medical decisions and healthcare to each person.

The Discoveries Centre´s headquarters including scientific and executive management will be located at the University of Minho at Avepark, concurrently the research activities will also be performed in the other campi: Aveiro, Lisboa-Oeiras, London and Porto.
