The De Castro, Heymans and Neil Award was attributed to Maria João Ribeiro, for the work " Kv1.3 channels mediates insulin action in the rat carotid body" developed at the Carotid Body & Metabolism: From Molecules To Systems Lab, coordinated by Silvia Conde.
This prize is awarded to the best young researcher's presentation in the International Society for Arterial Chemoreception Meeting that was held in Leeds from 29 June to 3 July 2014.
