Reference Center for Active and Healthy Aging in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AHA)

On March 2, 2020, the Reference Center for Active and Healthy Aging in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Lisbon (AHA) was launched at the Rectory of NOVA University of Lisbon.

Professor Helena Canhão, from NOVA Medical School, is responsible for this initiative that brings together 20 partners, including public, academic institutions (including UNL), civil society and industry.

The Reference Center for Active and Healthy Aging in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Lisbon (AHA) aims to be a pioneer in innovative digital solutions that improve the lives of aging populations. Its main objective is to establish strong ties between partners, which allow the sharing of good practices and the construction of collaborations, in order to maximize results and reduce the risks associated with investment in innovation. The organization of a region as a reference center aims to act as a catalyst for growth in that same region.
