Role of national Research Centres & Universities in the Portugal's Covid-19 test rate

This question underlaid the recent article on the English newspaper The Telegraph which describes the crucial mobilisation of the Portuguese scientific community in the pursuit of solutions to fight COVID-19 pandemia.

The Telegraph spoke with Portuguese experts and emphasizes that, unlike the United Kingdon case, the Portuguese Government realised that joint efforts between the national health system and other entities was the answer for a better result and increase testing capacity. As whole, university labs and private research centres worked as a team to find and scale-up testing solutions.

CEDOC-NMS, is no exception, and is part of this national effort and reorganised its research activity for diagnosis.
