This event aims to showcase the work of the UCL and Portuguese community in the fields of Synaptic Function, Dysfunction and Repair with a view to fostering closer ties and facilitating collaborations.
The programme will explore novel aspects of synaptic structure and function, and how these aspects are compromised in major neurodegenerative pathologies, such as Alzheimer’s disease and motor neuron disease. Mechanisms responsible for synaptic recovery and de novo synaptogenesis will be also included. The programme will comprise of oral presentations from researchers at UCL as well as the Discoveries Centre partner universities. This exciting event will provide a great opportunity to network with fellow researchers and clinicians and will include an evening drinks reception on the first night.
