The first annual meeting of iNOVA4Health will occur Saturday, June 18, at NOVA Rectorate.
CEDOC is part of the R&D Unit iNOVA4Heath - Programme in Translational Medicine, a major partnership involving iBET, IPOLFG and ITQB. This Research Unit is funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia with the objective of promoting a Translational Medicine Network at NOVA University of Lisbon.
iNOVA4Heath 6 year programme, iNOVA4Health's mission is the pursuit of excellence in basic, developmental, preclinical & clinical research, through international cooperation. Within iNOVA4Health, bringing in most of the medical basic research represents the biggest CEDOC contribution.
The program is organized under 2 thematic lines: Chronic Diseases & Healthy Aging and Translational Research for Advanced Therapies, which by the end of the 6 years period are expected to have launched over two dozen translational projects, trained MD's and other researchers into Personalized Medicine, broaden the already existing alliances with large pharmaceutical companies, establish iNOVA4Health as a relevant European partner in ATMP's and orphan diseases research and ultimately, be of larger value for Portuguese Health Care Practice and Society/Economy.
