EMBO Workshop: Glycobiology & Glycochemistry: Applications to human health and disease
It is our pleasure to announce the EMBO Workshop “Glycobiology and Glycochemistry: Applications to human health and disease”, supported by the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), The EMBO Workshop will be taking place in Lisbon at Faculdade de Ciências Médicas, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Portugal, from 26 to 30 May 2014.
This Workshop is intended for students and young investigators. The lectures will cover the latest advances in the identification of glycans and key glycobiological aspects in various fields of Medicine. It aims to instigate the creation of “scientifically bilingual” investigators fluent in glycan chemistry and biology. This is necessary in order to sustain and advance the identification of key glycobiological aspects and the application of Glycans and Glycoengineering strategies in the design of novel therapies to improve human health.
