Arnaldo Sampaio Award 2016 attributed to Project GERIA

The Arnaldo Sampaio Award 2016 was attributed to Project GERIA – Geriatric Study of the Health Effects of Interior Air Quality in Senior Nursing Homes in Portugal - in which Nuno Neuparth’s Lab - Integrated Pathophysiological Mechanisms - was a partner.

This project was financed by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and led by Prof. João Paulo Teixeira, from Porto University.

The Arnaldo Sampaio Award is instituted by the Portuguese Association for Public Health Promotion (APPSP) with the goals of paying tribute to Professor Arnaldo Sampaio and inciting research in the Public Health field. It is an initiative sponsored by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

The award ceremony will take place on the V National Public Health Congress, on February 16, in Porto.
