The Workshop on Lysosome Biology was held from 9 to 11 September, 2019 at the Professor Doutor Manuel Machado Macedo Auditorium at CEDOC - NMS|FCM.

The LYSOCIL: Excel in Rare Diseases’ Research: Focus on LYSOsomal, Disorders and CILiopathies, a Twinning Project led by NOVA Medical School | Faculdade de Ciências Médicas, was developed in order to strengthen the research and innovation capacity of CEDOC, helping it to become a national and internationally-recognized center of excellence in the chronic rare diseases research and innovation fields.
This workshop has had the participation of international experts from Cambridge Institute for Medical Research, University of Oxford, Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM), Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain, National Autonomous University of Mexico and University Hospital Göttingen, which has proven to be an added value for CEDOC's scientific community.
